Having performed thousands of successful laser procedures, Dr. Ilan Cohen is recognized today as one of the most preeminent eye surgeons in the nation. He was the first surgeon in the New York City area to perform cutting edge corneal surgery such as the implantable contact lens and the artificial corneal transplant. His innovative surgical techniques have been featured on CBS, CBNC and Fox News, among others. He is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and has completed a unique Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the renowned Vanderbilt University Hospital.Dr. Cohen is considered the experts' expert by his colleagues -- he is the doctor consulted on their most challenging cases. He teaches at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, which remains at the forefront of technological and surgical advances for cataract surgery and LASIK surgery. Dr. Cohen's recent book has been widely adapted by LASIK surgeons all around the world.
